Creating a High Performance Office Environment in the Heart of Middlesbrough
We recently completed a high end commercial glazing project within a prestigious building in the heart of Middlesbrough, Teesside, creating a series of high performance office and meeting spaces using our specialist double glazed acoustic glass partitioning systems.
The project required a combination of aesthetics, functionality and acoustic performance. With the client looking to create a number of private and professional working environments within the existing space, achieving a high level of acoustic privacy and speech confidentiality was a key consideration throughout the design and installation.
To meet these requirements, we supplied and installed 100mm double glazed partitions, incorporating a combination of 12.8mm acoustic laminated glass and 12mm toughened glass. The substantial glazing specification was selected to provide excellent acoustic performance while maintaining the modern, high end appearance associated with contemporary commercial glass partitioning.
The completed partition system was tested to achieve acoustic performance of up to 48dB, helping to significantly reduce the transfer of sound between the newly created office and meeting spaces.

Creating Private Offices and Meeting Spaces
The new glass partitioning was used to create a dedicated private working area, including two managers offices / meeting rooms and a quiet working office space.
The use of double glazed acoustic glass partitions allowed the client to achieve a balance between visual openness and acoustic separation. The spaces benefit from natural light and a contemporary glass aesthetic while providing the level of sound reduction required for focused work, private discussions and confidential meetings.
For a prestigious commercial environment where the quality of the finished space was just as important as its performance, the combination of high performance acoustic glazing and carefully considered detailing provided an ideal solution.
Acoustic Glass Doors and Timber Doors
To complement the double glazed partitioning, installed were a mixture of framed acoustic glass doors and timber doors, carefully selected to suit the different requirements of each space.
The framed acoustic glass doors incorporated 12.8mm acoustic laminated glass, helping to maintain consistency with the high acoustic performance requirements of the surrounding partition system.
Timber doors were also incorporated into selected managers offices and meeting rooms, providing an alternative finish where increased visual separation and a more traditional door aesthetic were preferred.
The combination of glass and timber doors allowed each individual space to be tailored to its intended use, while maintaining a cohesive and sophisticated overall design.

Bespoke Manifestation Designed for the Client
As part of the installation, we also supplied and installed bespoke manifestation to the glass, designed specifically to complement the client's branding and the overall design of the interior.
Rather than using standard off the shelf manifestation, the design was carefully considered to work with the layout and aesthetic of the space, adding an individual finishing touch while also helping to improve the visibility of the glazed partitions.
The result is a distinctive and cohesive finish that integrates the glazing into the wider interior design.
